A real crowd-puller - Kitzbühel New Year's fireworks

Visitors flocked to the slopes and finish area of the Hahnenkamm Races from around 15 hrs onwards. Thousands of spectators were enthralled by a Ski Show from the ski schools of Kitzbühel, which was preceded by a demonstration from Kitzbühel Ski Club’s junior alpine athletes.

Crowds followed the Ski Show and New Year’s firework display 2018 with relish and the public reaction was one of great enthusiasm. Two weeks today, the World Cup entourage will arrive and make their first turns on the Streif course here, before training and the races commence. The event culminates with the Saturday evening highlight after the prize-giving ceremony, when thousands of fans enjoy the incredible Hahnenkamm firework display.
