22.01.2016
Bill Johnson made history in the Sarajevo Olympic Games on 16th February 1984: he was the first US-American to win gold in the Downhill. Johnson also triumphed thrice in the Ski World Cup (Wengen, Aspen, Whistler). In 2001, eleven years after the end of his career, he made a comeback, but crashed and suffered a head trauma, followed by a stroke in 2010. Bill Johnson died at only 55 years of age.
