The races on TV and online
From Brazil to Nigeria, from France to Bulgaria, from the USA to China and, of course, in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. More than 100 countries will be providing coverage of the Hahnenkamm Races, 20 of which live. This year, ORF will even be sending four drones into the sky to provide spectacular imagery and screening the two evening award ceremonies from the finish area. Here is an overview of the most important TV stations.
The 85th edition of the Hahnenkamm Races is going to be a media sporting event of superlatives all over again. Whether in Brazil (thanks to Lucas Braathen), the USA, China, Finland, Bulgaria and of course in Germany, Austria and Switzerland - the Hahnenkamm Races are shown in (almost) every corner of the world. No less than 20 countries will be providing live coverage. Over 100 broadcasters will be reporting on the competitions on the Streif in 2025, with our host broadcaster ORF screening all three races live on ORF 1 and via stream on ORF ON (only within Austria). There will also be live coverage of the final training session on Wednesday and the two evening award ceremonies on Friday and Saturday. ORF Sport+ offers exclusive insights: on 23rd and 24th January, the special interest channel will be showing the team captains' meetings for the Downhill and Slalom respectively.
ORF chief director Michael Kögler is using four drones this year. For the first time, fans at home will ‘fly’ with a drone all the way to the finish line. Kögler: ‘For us, this is a perfect test run under competition conditions, because we are planning to do something similar for the first time at the World Championships in Saalbach.’ The World Ski Championships begin on 4th February. Oliver Polzer will commentate on all races from Kitzbühel with Hans Knauß (Super-G), Armin Assinger (Downhill) and Thomas Sykora (Slalom) at his side.
In Germany, ZDF will be broadcasting on all three race days from Kitzbühel, in Switzerland it will be SRG. Eurosport 2, Discovery+ and Italy's Rai will be reporting live throughout the weekend. In the USA it is NBC Peacock, in China CCTV and in Brazil TV Globo. Exact programme times can be found on the websites of the respective broadcasters.
