30 Jahre Partnerschaft OvW Ritt
It was around 30 years ago, on 10 June 1995, that the organising committees of the Hahnenkamm Races in North Tyrol and the Oswald von Wolkenstein Ride in South Tyrol formed a partnership. This was notarised by the respective provincial governors Wendelin Weingartner and Luis Durnwalder in the interests of promoting community.
As part of the current training visit by KSC and OC HKR officials to the traditional South Tyrolean European Cup organiser in Obereggen at the beginning of April 2025, a meeting was held with the main organisers of the Ritt. The roots and origins of the partnership were recalled in the form of a photo presentation and the continued exchange of experiences through mutual visits to events was established.
On this occasion, the South Tyrolean OC boss Klaus Marmsoler presented the HKR OC boss Michael Huber with a beautifully designed stainless steel plaque in memory of this meeting.
The Hahnenkamm OC wishes its colleagues continued good preparation for the ride on 13-15 June 2025.
