The Streif finish line is a hive of activity

There’s lots going on in the Streif finish area right now. With investment in infrastructure, the Hahnenkamm Race Organisers are future-proofing the finish stadium and improving facilities for fans.

Many locals and visitors will have noticed a hive of activity around the Streif finish area in recent days. This time it’s not the sporting action attracting all the attention, but heavy machinery. Hahnenkamm Race Organisers are investing in the infrastructure of this natural arena. Excavation work is currently underway around the Zielschuss and Compression sections, with further work on the golf course planned for the autumn.

The investment is necessary to ensure electricity and water supplies continue to operate reliably in the years ahead, while also allowing the drainage network to be expanded as required. This includes infrastructure for the large video screens and the new Kaisertribüne grandstand, with its spectacular views of the Kaiser mountains. First introduced in 2026, it will be significantly enlarged for the 2027 Hahnenkamm Races. Above all, the current work aims to ensure the finish stadium is fit for the future.

“Every year, we focus on specific areas where we can continue to develop the quality of the Hahnenkamm Races – from racer safety to snowmaking operations. This year, one of our priorities is infrastructure for our fans. We want to ensure that we can continue to offer the high standard our spectators have come to expect from the Hahnenkamm Races,” says Michael Huber, President of the Organising Committee.
