Coverage of the 80th Hahnenkamm Races is already in full swing.

As befitting this anniversary event, ORF has been reporting on the events in Kitzbühel with high-quality transmission technology ever since 18th January. 50 kilometres of cable and up to 40 cameras will transmit spectacular race scenes to television viewers.

The first highlight of the race weekend starts on Thursday with Downhill training on the Streif (from 11:05 hrs). All official races will of course then be broadcast live: After the Super-G on Friday (from 11:00 hrs) the supreme Downhill discipline follows on Saturday (from 10:55 hrs) and the Slalom Classic (from 10:00 hrs) on Sunday.

Even away from all the racing action, ORF offers spectators an extensive supporting programme to mark this 80th anniversary event. On Thursday evening, for example, the public broadcaster is screening the documentary "Mythos Hahnenkamm" from 21:05 hrs. The skiing elite are also given a chance to discuss the contemporary history of the sport. Panel guests include Franz Klammer, Stephan Eberharter, Felix Neureuther and Hansi Hinterseer.

Coverage of the 80th Hahnenkamm Races is rounded off with programmes covering the press conferences and Team Captains' Meetings.

By the way: All ORF TV broadcasts can also be viewed live on ORF TVthek ( http://TVthek.ORF.at ). Moreover, all competition highlights and reports will be summarized and made available in an "In Focus" section.

KSC would like to thank ORF for the long and successful cooperation and looks forward to further collaborative projects in the future!
