Team Generali wins KitzCharityTrophy

After the Hahnenkamm Downhill ended, ski legends and celebrities hurtled down the slope at the bottom section of the Streif racecourse in a charity race. The winning Team with Günter Mader, Arno Schuchter and Jimmy Steiner accepted the golden "Kitz-Gams" trophy with much jubilation. Anton „Jimmy“ Steiner had not reckoned with victory, saying: „I didn't think that we were going to win,“ which made the final result all the more pleasing: „It really was great fun to take part here.“ Team Gösser with Michael Walchhofer, Michaela Dorfmeister and Hans Knauß came second. The winners of 2015, Team Toro Rosso, with Carlos Sainz, Fritz Tost and Max Verstappen only managed to achieve third place this year. Bernie Ecclestone officiated this year's race again and waved the flag just like last year at the finish line. Proceeds go to the benefit of Tyrolean farming families, who have fallen on hard times through no fault of their own. Today's race was the second time singer Christina Stürmer has taken part – she negotiated this selective course by snowboard: „I think this event is great.
