Traditional Media Evening with 130 Journalists
The 85th Hahnenkamm Races are once again the source of international media interest this year. Around 700 media representatives from 14 nations, including 21 TV stations have received accreditation. Kitzbühel Ski Club and Kitzbühel Tourism Association hosted the traditional Media Evening at Hotel Tiefenbrunner on Wednesday evening.
After a busy start to the week, with two Downhill training sessions, numerous appointments, interviews and background discussions, around 130 journalists from the print, online, TV and radio media accepted an invitation by Kitzbühel Ski Club (KSC) and Kitzbühel Tourism to dinner. The media representatives used the evening to exchange ideas, make contacts and talk shop in a relaxed atmosphere.
During the media evening, long-serving KSC Press Officer, Christine Exenberger, was honoured for her tireless efforts and given a festive send-off. Christine has always been on hand to provide invaluable and friendly back-office services, organising press conferences and setting up the continually expanding Press Centre. Her commitment and experience are of immense value to KSC. “Christine, we would like to thank you for all your hard work over the years,” said Wolfgang Leitner, Head of Media Relations at the Hahnenkamm Races.
