Merchandise

  • WHERE CAN I BUY MERCHANDISE?

    • Hats, caps, T-shirts and other items from the official Hahnenkamm race fan collection can be ordered at www.kitzsport.at
    • The official poster for the 84th Hahnenkamm Races is available from the Kitzbühel BTV branch (Bank für Tirol und Vorarlberg) and K.S.C. offices from autumn onwards. Proceeds of the sales will be used to support K.S.C.’s up-and-coming young ski talent.
    • Official staff clothing is not for sale. 

Tickets

  • WHERE CAN I GET MY TICKETS?

    • Tickets are only available in advance, there will be no on-site sales. Tickets for the general standing area are available from the online shop. All grandstand, special zone and group tickets are available exclusively from the ticket office at .

  • CAN I RETURN MY TICKET?

    • The ticket purchaser can return the ticket up to ten days before the respective race day. To do so, please send an e-mail to . The official ticket price will be refunded, minus a 10% handling fee.
    • If a ticket is returned within nine days or less before the race day in question, no refund will be made.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF A PROGRAMME CHANGE/RACE CANCELLATION?

    • If a race is cancelled with longer advance notice, up to 5 days or more before the relevant race day, an automatic refund of the ticket price will be made minus a 10% administration fee.
    • The ticket is bound to a specific date and not to the programme. We kindly ask for your understanding in the event of any necessary changes to the programme.
    • We also ask for your understanding that the Hahnenkamm Races are an open-air event. Programme changes, postponement and cancellations are deemed standard event risks.
    • In the event of a race cancellation four days or less before the relevant race day, the ticket price will not be refunded.
  • CAN I BUY A TICKET ON RACE DAY AT SHORT NOTICE?

    • If a race day is not yet sold out, a ticket for the general standing area can be purchased online at any time.
    • There is no possibility to buy tickets on site.

Fan Clubs

  • ARE THERE SPECIAL TICKETS FOR FAN CLUBS?

    • Fan clubs receive special ticket concessions (group ticket).
    • Please send enquiries by e-mail to: . We recommend ordering in good time.
  • ARE THERE DESIGNATED FAN SECTORS?

    • Spectators and fan groups at the Hahnenkamm races are free to choose where they observe the races, so there are no designated areas for fan clubs.
  • WHICH RULES APPLY TO FAN BANNERS?

    • There are special camera-compatible places for fan banners, so they are in the field of vision of the TV cameras and photographers. These designated places are located above the finish line on the left side (seen from below). 
    • For safety reasons, especially regarding the racers, we ask you not to attach the poles directly to the fencing.
    • For contractual reasons and to protect the Hahnenkamm sponsors, no third-party advertising (own sponsors) may be placed on the fan banners. Please conceal advertising spaces (logos, lettering, advertising slogans). This will be checked in the access area and on the event grounds. 
  • WHAT ELSE IS IMPORTANT FOR FAN CLUBS?

    • Bringing food or drinks of any kind into the event grounds is prohibited. Compliance with this rule will be checked at the entrances. Numerous stands at the event grounds offer drinks and snacks.

Arrival and parking

  • ARRIVING BY CAR

    • DRIVING FROM VIENNA, SALZBURG AND MUNICH

    Take the A1 motorway towards Salzburg, continue over the ”kleine Deutsche Eck - little German Corner“ to Lofer, head towards St. Johann in Tirol, “Großparkplatz - Large Car Park” Hahnenkamm Races in Oberndorf (between St. Johann and Kitzbühel). Take one of the free shuttle trains to Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm railway station.

    • DRIVING FROM SWITZERLAND, BOLZANO, VORARLBERG, INNSBRUCK

    Take the Inntalautobahn motorway until the exit for Wörgl Ost, Brixentaler Bundesstrasse, via Hopfgarten, Brixen im Thale to the “Großparkplatz - Large Car Park” Hahnenkamm Races in Kirchberg in Tirol (before Kitzbühel). Take one of the free shuttle trains to Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm railway station.

    • DRIVING FROM EAST TIROL, STYRIA, CARINTHIA

    Via Mittersill, Thurn Pass, Jochberg, “Großparkplatz - Large Car Park” Hahnenkamm Races in Kitzbühel Süd (South), from where it is an approx. 20-minute walk to the event grounds.

  • WHERE CAN I PARK?

    • Official free parking is available in Oberndorf in Tyrol (coming from the Salzburg/Munich direction) and at Kirchberg in Tyrol (coming from Innsbruck). From there, Austrian Rail’s ”Hahnenkamm-Shuttle Train“ operates to and from the event venue.
    • Another car park is available in "Kitzbühel Süd" (coming from Mittersill), from where it is an approx. 20-minute walk to the event grounds.
    • The two car parks at Hahnenkammbahn cable car and Ganslern will be closed during Race Week. All other car parks belonging to the Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel Cable Car Co. are available to customers. Daily updated information can be found at www.kitzski.at
    Spectator information
  • ARRIVING BY TRAIN

    • If you are travelling by train, it is best to get off at Kitzbühel - Hahnenkamm station.  From there it is about a two-minute walk to the finish area and Kitzbühel town centre.
    • HAHNENKAMM-SHUTTLE: The ÖBB (Austrian Rail) Hahnenkamm Shuttle runs between the stations of Oberndorf in Tyrol and Kirchberg, shuttling you free of charge to and from the finish area at Kitzbühel - Hahnenkamm station. 
    • On presentation of a valid guest card from tourist regions in the Kitzbühel Alps (Hohe Salve, Brixental, St. Johann in Tirol and Pillerseetal), all ÖBB local trains from Kirchbichl to Hochfilzen can be used free of charge (except IC, EC and RailJet services).   • ARRIVING BY COACH

    • There are two parking areas available for coaches in Kitzbühel: 
      • Busparkplatz Schwarzsee (bus parking - 20-minutewalk from the event grounds)
      • Busparkplatz Hauptbahnhof (main railway station - 15-minute walk from the event grounds)

On Site Spectators

  • WHERE AND HOW DO I ACCESS THE EVENT GROUNDS?

    • You need a valid ticket to enter the event grounds. This also applies in the start area and alongside the entire racecourse. All information about purchasing tickets can be found here: Ticket Shop
    • The extensive finish area can be accessed from several sides (coming from the Hahnenkammbahn cable car, as well as from the town centre/Legends Park)
    • You can watch along the Streif on skis or snowboard, for which the Mausefalleboden, Seidlalm and Oberhausberg areas, among others, are particularly suitable. Please note any instructions and/or barriers. You can find more information in the "Watching on Skis” section.
  • WHERE ARE THE BEST PLACES TO WATCH THE RACES?

    • The event grounds at the finish area is the best spot to watch the Hahnenkamm Races, from where spectators have the opportunity to see the final 35 seconds of the race live, as skiers whizz down from the Hausbergkante. Moreover, an extensive entertainment programme in the finish area creates a great atmosphere, where spectators are kept right up to date with all the latest information. Numerous video walls and scoreboards are in place to cover the action along the entire racecourse.
    • “Family Land” has been created specifically for families. It is a cordoned off area with catering services, benches and tables and can be found close to the Downhill grandstand, between the Zielhaus and Rasmushof.
    • The start line and “Mausefalle” are also interesting spectator areas. For the ascent with the Hahnenkammbahn cable car, you will need a single ticket (for pedestrians), available from the Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel Lift Co.  A Hahnenkamm Race ticket is also required.
    • You can watch alongside the Streif on skis or snowboard. You will find more information in the "Watching on Skis” section.
    • It is absolutely necessary to wear winter-proof footwear with a sturdy sole, regardless of where you stand alongside the racecourse and/or finish area. You will find yourself in natural, winter terrain where an element of sure-footedness is required! Applicable warning signs and safety barriers must be observed.

  • CAN I ATTEND THE RACES AS A WHEELCHAIR USER?

    Unfortunately, all places for the 84th Hahnenkamm Races are already fully booked!

    • We welcome wheelchair users and endeavour to make their stay as pleasant as possible.

  • WHY DO THE VIDEOWALLS CONTINUE TO PLAY FOOTAGE THROUGH THE NIGHT?

    • The video walls must run around the clock to prevent frost damage.
  • ARE THERE ANY SNACK KIOSKS IN THE EVENT AREA?

    • As a rule, bringing any kind of food or beverages to the event grounds is prohibited.
    • Numerous stalls in the event area offer snacks as well as hot and cold drinks. The Red Bull restaurant will also provide you with food and drinks.
    • There is a kiosk especially for families between the Zielhaus/Restaurant Red Bull and Rasmushof.
    • Cash, debit and credit cards are accepted as means of payment.
  • WHERE ARE THE WCs?

    • A total of 300 heated WCs with fresh water and sewage connections are installed throughout the entire event grounds. The WC facilities are permanently serviced. Despite the high number of WCs provided, there may still be queues on occasion, for which we ask for your understanding.
      • WC-Süd (south -near the large video wall, finish area, in front of the commentators' booths) 
      • WC-Ost (east -just below the Downhill grandstand next to the “Lost & Found” facility)
      • WC-Nord (north - (next to the Red Bull restaurant, below the slalom grandstand)
      • WC-West 1 (finish jump, near the MasterCard Lounge)
      • WC-West 2 (finish jump, towards Ganslern)
      • WC-Ganslernbahn (valley station Ganslernbahn cable car)
      • Disabled WC 1 (in the grandstand area)
      • Disabled WC 2 (valley station Ganslernbahn cable car)
      • Grandstand and VIP zone guests will find WC facilities in the grandstand area.
      • Additional WC cabins in the Hof Hohenegg area (slalom)
  • IS THERE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE ON SITE?

    • For medical or health issues, please contact the Red Cross located at the “Ost -east” entrance (just below the Downhill grandstand next to the “Lost & Found” facility).
  • WHAT CAN I DO IF I LOSE SOMETHING?

    • A "Lost & Found" container is located near the VIP marquee (in the direction of the Hahnenkamm lift), just below the Downhill grandstand. Please drop off any lost property there, where you can also enquire after lost items. This stand is staffed from 9.00 to 21.00 hrs on race days.
    • After the races, any non-claimed items of lost property will be handed over to Kitzbühel Lost Property Offices (Fundamt), from where they can be collected. Please contact: or call +43 5356 62161.
  • CAN I BRING MY PET?

    • Dogs are not allowed in the event side.

Watching on skis & General ski operations

  • CAN I WATCH THE RACE ON SKIS?

    • You can watch alongside the Streif on skis or snowboard. For example, in the Mausefalleboden, Seidlalm and Oberhausberg areas. Please note any instructions and/or barriers.
    • To watch on skis, you will require a lift ticket from Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel and a valid HKR admission ticket.
  • CAN I SKI DURING RACE WEEK IN KITZBÜHEL?

    • Skiing is possible in the entire ski area. You can check out the current status of the slopes and lifts here: kitzski.at
    • The Streif and Ganslern racecourses are closed to the public. The Parallel Streif (Nr. 21) ski route is open on race days for experienced skiers. A valid race ticket for the respective Downhill or Slalom event must be shown in order to ski the Parallel Streif. Please note that some sections of the Streif are not visible from the Parallel Streif. We kindly ask that you observe all displayed information and slope closures.
    • The Ganslern (A2), Ministreif (A8) and Mocking (A9) lift systems are closed for public skiing. 
    • The Starthaus (A7) and Märchenwald (A6) conveyors are in operation but require presentation of a valid HKR ticket. 
    • The Walde (A3) lift is open for public skiing. A valid HKR ticket must only be shown as soon as you start the downhill run via the Parallel Streif (No. 21).
  • CAN ANYONE USE THE HAHNENKAMMBAHN CABLE CAR?

    • The Hahnenkamm lift is open for use by anyone with a valid ski pass. However, we ask for your patience during the race week as there may be waiting times.
    • We recommend the Fleckalmbahn (A4) as an alternative access to the Kitzbühel/Kirchberg ski area.

Race-related Side Events

  • WILL THERE BE A FAN ZONE IN THE TOWN CENTRE?

    The popular fan zone in the town centre returns once again this year. On Friday (19th January), Saturday (20th January) and Sunday (21st January), over 40 stalls from local associations and Kitzbühel businesses will provide food and drink, with music entertainment from Kronehit. On Friday, Radio U1 Tirol with Zwirn und Bääm will get the party started in the Schulpark, while the festivities continue on Saturday with Juhe aus Tirol & Marc Pircher and the Thierseern. The VELO Truck will also be providing upbeat sounds, while the VELO Jump Bag is the place to be.

Award ceremonies

  • WHERE AND WHEN DO THE AWARD CEREMONIES TAKE PLACE?

    • The award ceremonies for the races on Friday and Saturday will take place in the finish area after the start number allocation (start: 18:30 hrs).
    • The award ceremony for the Sunday race will take place directly after the race at the finish area.
  • DO I NEED A TICKET FOR THE AWARD CEREMONIES?

    • No ticket is required for the evening award ceremonies on Friday and Saturday.
    • As the award ceremony on Sunday will take place during the race, a valid ticket is required to attend. 

Work with us - Volunteers

  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO WORK AT THE HAHNENKAMM RACES?

    • The Hahnenkamm Race is not a volunteer event. All teams are currently fully staffed, and no positions are open.
