The new Fleckalmbahn gondola lift commenced operations last weekend. Speed athletes can now travel more comfortably to the “Ochsalm” warm-up course.

The Bergbahn AG Cable Car Co. invested no less than 27.5 million euros in the new facility. Bergbahn AG CEO, Dr. Josef Burger, emphasied that the entire facility, with the exception of ropeway technology, was planned by the in-house technical team. "This is a great and important day for us as cable car operators and the whole region," said Burger happily at the inauguration celebration.

96, Instead of the previous 200 gondolas, now whisk skiers to the Ehrenbachhöhe. Be that as it may, the gondola system has a similar person conveyance capacity and travel time has been reduced considerably. The new lift reduces energy consumption by some 75,000 kilowatt hours of energy annually. Comfortable heated seats provide additional comfort.

KSC President Michael Huber received a piece of cable from the "Alte Fleck” lift as a memento:  "I am delighted, the “Fleck” is of great importance to us. The first Hahnenkamm Race took place here in late March 1931!
