Kristoffersen wins Slalom
24.01.2016
He's simply unbeatable: Henrik Kristoffersen. With bib number 19 and an incredible run, the world class racer from Norway demonstrated his flawless technique once again. The momentum in every turn as well as his transitions were perfect. By just 1.25 hundredths of a second, the 20-year-old raced to the top of the podium. "It's unbelievable! Coming twelfth in the first run and then still being able to win - what happened there?", said the athlete, currently leading in the Slalom World Cup. He is thrilled to be celebrating his tenth World Cup victory in Kitzbühel. The race also went extremely well for Macel Hirscher, who's performance came close to Kristoffersen's. He was only missing three hundredths of a second as he crossed the finish line, a déjà-vu for the athlete who also came second in 2015. "I'm extremely happy. It was really hard work. Henrik's form is unbeatable", says Hirscher after racing into the finish area. In third place is German racer Fritz Dopfer. He pushed last year's victor, Mattias Hargin (SWE), to fourth place and was euphoric: "The only ones who beat me were the two best Slalom racers in the world." Official Slalom Results
