Max Franz: diagnosis after fall in training

The injuries suffered by the Austrian downhill racer after a fall at the entrance to the Traverse section are now known: Max Franz suffered a capsular rupture to his left knee, a partial tear to the syndesmosis ligament of his left ankle and a fractured lunar bone in his left hand. The athlete is to receive surgery on his ankle later today and will be out of action for eight weeks as he recuperates.
