Premiere for Kitzbühel’s Summer Snow Sports Festival
With this new event format, Ski Austria and Kitzbühel Ski Club aim to bring the excitement of winter sports to life in the heart of summer while celebrating the achievements of Austria's top athletes.
Ski Austria and Kitzbühel Ski Club are delighted to host the inaugural Summer Snow Sports Festival on Friday, 26 June. The event, held in Pfarrau Park, promises a varied programme for the whole family, with free admission all day. Festivities get underway at 14.00 hrs with a fun-filled sports festival at the Hierzingerwiese playing field. Children and adults alike can try their hand at ski jumping on a mobile ski jump, test their prowess at the biathlon station and take part in a range of interactive activities. Visitors can also look forward to a prize wheel, autograph sessions with Ski Austria stars and plenty of other attractions. Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
A special highlight follows at 17.00 hrs on the open-air stage in Pfarrau Park. As part of the awards ceremony, Ski Austria will honour its most successful athletes for their achievements during the past winter season. Medal winners from the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will also be in attendance. The event will be hosted by presenters Daniela Schmiderer and Lukas Schweighofer.
The day concludes on a musical note at 20.30 hrs with an open-air concert by the Kitzbühel Town Band.
