Double Deal: Two New Beer Partners for the Hahnenkamm Races
The Hahnenkamm Races are delighted to welcome two new names to their line-up: from 2027, private breweries Erdinger Weißbräu and Stiegl will become the race weekend's official beer partners in Kitzbühel. The collaboration was officially unveiled on 14 October at the Streif finish area.
When Kitzbühel once again becomes the epicentre of the international skiing world this coming January, two new names will feature prominently across the Hahnenkamm Races. Erdinger, hailing from Erding in Bavaria, and Stiegl, from Salzburg, are two long-established private breweries that have joined as official beer partners.
The partnership encompasses catering for fans in the finish area, along the racecourses and throughout the town centre. Both breweries have many years of experience partnering with winter sports events and are already represented at numerous ski resorts in Tirol and Salzburg, as well as throughout Austria.
For the Kitzbühel Ski Club (KSC), Organisers of the Hahnenkamm Races, ensuring reliable catering for the tens of thousands of fans who attend each year is a vital logistical consideration. KSC President Michael Huber warmly welcomed the new alliance: "Guided by the old adage that 'food and drink keep body and soul together', it is of paramount importance to us as race organisers that the international crowds of Hahnenkamm fans can look forward to first-rate hospitality."
The two breweries are equally enthusiastic about the partnership. Erdinger Managing Director Wolfgang Kuffner emphasises his company’s decades-long involvement in winter sports and the unique atmosphere of the Hahnenkamm Races. Stiegl owner Heinrich Kiener highlights what the two privately owned breweries share: independence, personal responsibility, and a rich brewing heritage.
This new collaboration thus marks another important step in preparations for the 87th Hahnenkamm Races, taking place in January 2027.
