Preparations for FIS Congress

Preparations for FIS Congress
13.05.2016
During preparatory planning meetings, those responsible for the Alpine World Cup have drawn up their proposals for the 50th International Ski Federation (FIS) Congress in Cancun (Mexico). As a result of events during the last Hahnenkamm Downhill, the decision-makers will recommend a revised Kitzbühel programme in early June. The most obvious change for the 77th Hahnenkamm Races 2017 will be that, in order to reduce pressure on the athletes, no Combined Slalom is scheduled for Friday evening. Start-times for the Super-G and Downhill are scheduled for 11.30 hrs. As Organizers of the Hahnenkamm Races, Kitzbühel Ski Club have already responded to these anticipated decisions and adjusted prices for Friday accordingly. Sales for VIP tickets for the Friday of Race Week have therefore now begun. The decision as to whether a Europacup Downhill will take place on the Streif with the finishing line at Oberhausberg on the Monday of Race Week is also to be confirmed during the FIS Congress. This too is a clear message by the Organizers that they continue to act in the very best interests of the sport and its participating athletes. Programm Tickets
