Jan Überall, Secretary General of the Kitzbühel Ski Club, is set to join the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV). With effect from 1 September, he will succeed the outgoing Christian Scherer as Secretary General and officially assume operational leadership of the ÖSV.

Jan Überall has played a defining role within Kitzbühel Ski Club for many years. He joined the K.S.C. in a full-time capacity in 2013, having already been actively involved in organising the Hahnenkamm Races for several years beforehand. In 2016, the sports science graduate was appointed Secretary General. With his extensive experience, international network and work on various FIS committees, as well as serving as Vice President of Club 5, Jan Überall brings outstanding credentials to his new role. The Austrian Ski Association's Presidents' Conference unanimously appointed him as its new Secretary General.

For Jan Überall, the new position is "a great honour and, at the same time, a great responsibility". Together with his team, he intends to build on existing strengths, introduce fresh ideas and continue to develop Austrian skiing in a sustainable way.

K.S.C. President Michael Huber warmly congratulated his long-standing colleague: "Kitzbühel Ski Club is delighted for Jan Überall and for the honour bestowed upon him in being entrusted with such an important role within the Austrian Ski Association. With his expertise, he will make a valuable contribution to the future of Austrian skiing. We wish him every success in his new position and look forward to continuing the close and successful partnership between the ÖSV and the K.S.C."
